University monitoring weather

The University continues to monitor the threat of severe weather this afternoon. The latest National Weather Service information indicates the possibility of severe thunderstorms in the Lafayette area between 2 – 5 p.m.
The University does not anticipate cancellation of classes or closure. Students, faculty and staff should use their best judgment and should not put themselves at risk during extreme weather conditions.

Should weather conditions warrant cancellations or closures, information will be provided via the Emergency Notification System (texts); social media; a 24-hour hotline, (337) 482-2222; local media; and the University’s website, www.louisiana.edu.
