Notice to the Campus Community from University Police

Crime Alert: Armed Robbery

 

On Sept. 25, 2016, at approximately 3:44 a.m., officers were called to Cajun Village apartments in reference to an armed robbery that occurred earlier in the night.  The complainant advised that he was sitting in a friend’s vehicle with two friends on South Campus Drive when one black male wearing a ski mask and an unknown male also wearing a ski mask approached the three victims while they were exiting the vehicle.  The two suspects demanded money and the victims’ cell phones.  Both suspects were wearing long shirts and long pants, dark in color.  One black male suspect was said to possess a black semi-automatic handgun.  The other suspect was said to have an unknown type of firearm.  The two subjects were last seen fleeing on foot through Cajun Village toward Legacy Park.

 

This information is being provided in an effort to comply with the federal Jeanne Clery Act.
